The SOS QR app is designed to assist individuals in being prepared and maintaining safety during emergency situations, whether they occur at home or in different locations. Key features of the app include a one-touch SOS button that notifies emergency contacts of the user's GPS location and an emergency record linked to a personal QR code, enabling emergency responders to access critical health information in their preferred language.

• Emergency Records

SOS QR enables users to create emergency records for multiple profiles, facilitating the input of essential emergency medical and contact details. Each profile generates two versions of the emergency record: a private one accessible within the app for personal editing or sharing, and a public, de-identified online version hosted on a secure Humetrix SOS QR server. The public version allows emergency responders to view vital information by scanning the record's QR code and is designed to protect sensitive data such as last names or birth dates.

Emergency records encompass various categories of information such as Personal Details, Emergency Contacts, Allergies, Medical Conditions, Medications, and Special Needs. Users are encouraged to populate each section with relevant details, ensuring that crucial information like severe allergies or chronic conditions is readily available to medical personnel during emergencies. Additionally, it is essential to include the contact information of individuals to be directly notified in case of an emergency.

Selected fields within certain categories are masked in the public version for privacy reasons but can be revealed by tapping the designated red-shield icon next to each field.

• Medical Condition Care Guideline Notifications

The app provides prompts regarding recommended care guidelines for common chronic medical conditions like asthma or diabetes, aiding users and healthcare providers in staying informed about optimal care practices.

• Wallet Cards

Users have the option to print a wallet card containing their QR code, retrieval PIN code, and profile photo directly from the application if they have access to a Wi-Fi printer.

• QR Code Scanning for Emergency Record Access

In times of crisis, emergency personnel can use any QR code scanner to access a user's critical health information by scanning the provided QR code. Upon scanning, SOS QR automatically dispatches an email to the listed contacts along with a map showcasing the emergency location.

• Automated Record Translation When Traveling

When accessing a user's record while traveling, SOS QR offers automatic translation of essential data (including medical conditions and medications) into multiple languages. Supported languages include English (US & UK), French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Mandarin Chinese, ensuring that emergency responders can comprehend critical information regardless of language barriers.

SOS QR Service Subscription:

The app offers two subscription options: either a 1-month or 1-year plan. Users receive a complimentary 2-month trial period before payment for their selected subscription is charged via their Apple ID account. Subscription renewals occur automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Subscriptions can be managed or canceled through account settings on the App Store post-purchase.
